Biography:
While working for PriceWaterhouse Coopers as a recurring audit senior for a long-time client, Connie was exposed to her first business transition when she walked into the office of the 60-year old CEO who emotionally explained that his younger son had just informed him he was enrolling in the seminary and was not interested in continuing his grooming as the CEO of this 3rd generation company. Six weeks later, she returned to conduct due diligence for the firm’s acquisition and was offered the position as Controller of the new, combined entity. She later became Chief Financial Officer and acting-Chief Executive Officer, and was tasked with growing the company through strategic acquisitions and sales, totally under her direction from target identification through due diligence and signing. Her efforts led to the company’s inclusion on the Inc. 500 prestigious list of rapidly growing, privately-held companies.
She is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor, and a Certified Valuations Analyst. She has 25 years experience running businesses and her breadth of experience additionally includes accounting and operational systems analysis, corporate turnaround, corporate bankruptcy administration, and litigation support. She has worked with AKT’s BTA team since October of 2007 as a business consultant and business valuation specialist.
